Research Interests

  • Criminal justice (responses to crime, attrition, specialist courts);
  • Decision-making by victims, offenders and practitioners;

  • Comparative analyses of crime and criminal justice.

Current Projects

Co-Investigator, Workplace Bullying and Harassment in Britain with Special Reference to Race and Ethnicity (funded by the ESRC).

Principal Investigator, Multisite evaluation of Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA), funded by the Home Office.

Member of research project funded by the European Commission, Daphne III Project Protect: Good practice in preventing serious violence and homicides including crimes in the name of ‘honour’ and protecting high-risk victims.

Member of research project funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Map of Needs: support provision for women who have experienced violence.
