Join us on LinkedIn

Join our private Cardiff University Alumni Network group with over 10,000 members. Engage directly with fellow alumni to ask career questions, hear about job opportunities and the latest news and insight.

Careers fairs and events 

There are bespoke fairs, skills sessions, employer presentations and employability bootcamps running throughout the year. Alumni are welcome to attend these after graduation. 

You can access information about all careers events via Your Careers Account and events are also listed on the blog Your Student Life, Supported.

Graduate internships 

Here at Cardiff University, we utilise the Santander Breakthrough Scheme for graduate internships. These are employer-led graduate internships available for up to two years after graduation. These paid internships are available in SME’s generally within the local Cardiff area. All the internships are organised by the Work Experience Team and are advertised from February to May.

All internships are advertised on the Careers and Employability website and via Twitter @ExpworksCU.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

A KTP is one of the UK’s largest graduate recruitment programmes which provides over 300 graduate job opportunities each year. You will be able to manage and deliver challenging strategic projects for a business, while being supported by the University.  You will be based at the company on a full-time basis but jointly supervised by an academic member of staff for the duration of the project.

Careers advice & information


Cardiff alumni can access careers advice for up to two years after graduation (up to 2 x 15 minute appointments with a careers adviser). Before making an appointment, please make sure you have registered as a graduate via Your Career Account, then call Careers & Employability on +44 (0)29 2087 4227 to book an appointment.

Please note that during the busy October/March period Careers & Employability are unable to offer any careers advice to alumni.


The Careers & Employability Centre is located at 50 Park Place and is open from 9.00am – 4.30pm every weekday during term time.
