Abacws is bringing together the School of Computer Science and Informatics and the School of Mathematics into one world-leading facility. The building is situated on Senghennydd Road next to Cathays railway station.

The single six-storey building has been designed in collaboration with students and academic staff to create interdisciplinary, flexible and creative workspaces, with innovative teaching areas.

There are also dedicated spaces for student project work.

Accessibility

There is level access into Abacws from Senghennydd Road through the main entrance, and also from the rear of the building behind Cathays train station.

The lifts service all floors. Each lift has a mirror at the back and the levels are both audio and visually indicated.

There are two accessible cubicles on each floor. These are adjacent to each set of toilets.

Parking

There is street parking along Senghennydd Road, where blue badge holders can park free of charge.

Bicycle parking

There are covered bicycle racks to the rear and west of the building. These are accessible with a staff or student card.
