Sub-strategies

The Way Forward 2018-23 is currently undergoing a strategic review. These pages will be updated in the autumn.

We aim to enter the UK top 20 in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.

We aim to remain in the world top 200 as measured by QS World University Rankings, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Best Global Universities Ranking, and in the top 100 of at least one of these.

To achieve this, we are focussing on five areas:

Education and students

At least 50% of our undergraduate students will undertake a work placement during their studies.

Civic mission

We aim to create 1,000 high value jobs and improve educational attainment in Schools around Wales.

International

We will establish five strategic partnerships with international academic institutions.

Research and Innovation

Our new research and innovation sub-strategy will ensure that our work has a positive impact on society and that we are well-placed to contribute to the health, wealth, security and well-being of future generations in Wales, the UK and across the globe.
