During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we want to ensure the welfare of our staff and students. Our staff won't be able to attend international exhibitions or events at this time but you can still get in touch.
We have a long and proud history of welcoming students from the United States with over 100 American students studying with us.
Many of these participate in our Study Abroad and exchange programme.
We also run active exchange programmes with universities in the USA. These include, but are not limited to, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Miami, the College of William and Mary and Rutgers University. Additionally, the University has many research links with elite institutions across the USA.

Cardiff Centre for Welsh American Studies
Within the School of Welsh in particular, the Cardiff Centre for Welsh American Studies was established in 2001 to promote the study of the culture, language, literature and history of the Welsh in the Americas, and in the United States, Canada and Patagonia, in particular.
By encouraging scholarly collaboration and discussion, it aims to provide a focal point for an international network of scholars who have an interest in this rapidly growing field of study.
