CAER Pizza Forge Project

This project will engage Year 9/10 students from the Step Three/18T department at Western Federation High School.

Aim

The aim of the project is to engage young people and provide them with an opportunity to have hands-on experience as well as gain accrediation in Level 1 Health and Saefty in the Construction environment as well as Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering.

The project

Young People will be encouraged to get involved with the build of a bread overn using ancient techniques at St Fagans National History Museum with Ian Daniels and the Education team. They will design and build a modern day pizza over at Our Plae: Dusty Forge (Action in Caerau and Ely).

Once complete the young people will have the opportunity to showcase their pizza oven and their newly developed skills at two events as well as earning 10 volunteer hours which will be added to their ASDAN Short Course in Volunteering.
