I think at times, there need to be two different mindsets. I'm not always shooting, and I'm not always studying. It's nice to have a balance between the two.

Shooting a good shot is objective; it's mentally and physically exhausting. There's no room for mind games, just you against the target. Everyone questions how or why you do it.

I think the discipline of training helps with having the discipline to do the studies. It is hard sometimes when everyone else is going out, and I'm standing on the range. But the feeling of competing at the Commonwealth Games doesn't compare to anything.

It's not something to give up lightly. All the effort I've put in over the last ten years might not always pay off every day, but it will in the end. I've been British champion, Welsh champion, and I've competed in the Commonwealth Games. I want to go to the Olympics and succeed in engineering as well.
