Wales Centre for Evidence Based Care - A Joanna Briggs Institute Centre of Excellence
We promote evidence-based practice through the development and evaluation of internationally excellent systems for evidence appraisal, translation and utilisation.
As a JBI Centre of Excellence we have an inclusive approach to evidence in order to produce usable "real world" clinical guidelines.
We offer consultancy and guidance on the production of systematic reviews and implementation projects using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) appraisal, implementation and management tools.
These are specifically designed to assist healthcare professionals in implementing evidence-based practice and provide the best possible patient care. We can deliver a bespoke one day training programme, for a minimum of six delegates, ‘Translating evidence into Practice,’ which can be delivered in your workplace.
JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review training
Our JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review (CSR) Training Program is designed to prepare researchers and clinicians to develop, conduct and report comprehensive systematic reviews of qualitative and quantitative evidence, following the Joanna Briggs Institute approach and using the Joanna Briggs Institute SUMARI software.
Dates: 27 April - 1 May 2019 (participants can attend 3 or 5 days)
Venue: Cardiff University
The JBI European Symposium 2019: Think Globally, Act Locally
Date: Friday 3 May 2019
Venue: Hadyn Ellis Building, Cardiff University
This symposium is an annual event held by the Joanna Briggs Institute European regional centres. In 2019 this will be held in Cardiff for the first time. The symposium will provide an opportunity for discussion of evidence synthesis and evidence implementation within healthcare, highlighting the 'real world' challenges that can occur when implementing synthesised evidence locally.
