My work focuses on healthcare for vulnerable groups. Current topics of interest include access to cancer services and experiences of cancer care for adults with a physical disability, continence care for people living with dementia in acute, long-term and community healthcare and home settings, end of life care for people with severe mental illness and crisis responses for children and young people.

Deborah has over 20 years’ experience as a systematic review methodologist with a current focus on producing systematic reviews as part of funded research studies. She is a core member of the Wales Centre for Evidence Based Care: A Joanna Briggs Institute Centre of Excellence. She has published numerous systematic reviews within the JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports and is currently working on an update of her work on interventions that aim to assist the transition from student to newly qualified nurse.
