We embrace quantum effects and technologies from materials to devices, covering both experiment and theory.

About

Our wide, multidisciplinary remit includes a broad range of materials and devices, covering the EPSRC Quantum Technologies remit and beyond.

Quantum technologies leverage the principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum tunneling, to create devices and systems that transcend the limitations of classical technologies. These technologies aim to revolutionise a wide range of fields, from computing and communication to sensing and cryptography.

We sustain a diverse portfolio of projects, are engaged in the national Quantum Hubs and foster international collaborations.
