Overview

My work addresses the challenges of Data Stewardship and building analysis workflow, in the Life Sciences.  I lead on training and bioinformatics, with an in-house analysis team, serving research leads within the Division of Infection and Immunity.  My role includes: omic analysis, analysis coaching, data clinics, establishing research networks and leading on infrastructure development.  Projects include LIPID MAPS (2016, £1.3M) and Project Sepsis (2018, £2.4M).

I am a theme lead of the Cardiff Systems Immunity Research Institute and a member of the management board of the Digital Transformation Innovation Institute.

I am a board member of ELIXIK-UK which is the national Node of ELIXIR: an intergovernmental organisation that brings together life science resources from across Europe.  I lead the data management working group and a work package to build a Pan-European Community of practice for training in research data management.
