Course description
This course will review and consolidate your use of the German language, developing both vocabulary and range of language structures. It will thus equip you with the necessary skills to communicate effectively in various situations at lower intermediate level.
Each theme will be introduced and developed through a variety of supportive practical material such as texts, audio and video recordings and use of the internet. You will actively engage in a wide variety of activities, drawing from personal interests and experience.
The workshops are hands-on with videos, listening exercises and plenty of role-plays and discussions. The emphasis is on participation.
We will also use the language laboratory and the internet on a regular basis. Course material will be handed out on the night, but it is recommended that you bring a dictionary, pen and paper. Topics will include the following:
- Sprachen und Biografien
- Reisen und Mobilität
- Aktiv in der Freizeit
- Ausgehen
- Feste und Bräuche
