Research participation

Take part in our research and help us further our knowledge and understanding to improve patients lives.

We are frequently looking for members of the public to help with our research and there are a number of ways you can get involved.

The types of research vary from lab-based scientific experiments on the eye and visual system to Clinical patient-based research where our academics work with volunteers focusing on visual performance including electrophysiological, neurological, behavioural and societal influences on vision. We also work with in-patients to research pathogenesis of eye disease.

The Neurological Vision Loss database

We are looking for research participants for studies of Neurological Vision Loss (NVL). Not only do we recruit those with any form of vision loss, we also recruit healthy, normal-sighted individuals to act as comparisons with those who have vision loss. As long as you are aged above 18, you are eligible to sign up to our NVL database.

Download our information sheet for more detail about the database. If you are interested in becoming a paid participant, please complete our online questionnaire.
