Centres and groups

The School of Music has established a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration in research both within and beyond Cardiff University.

Our leading research centre, Cardiff Interdisciplinary Research in Opera and Drama (CIRO), allows us to consolidate the critical mass of operatic research expertise within the School and to facilitate collaboration with professional practitioners.

The recently established Cardiff University British Music Research Centre (CUBRIT) is working to promote and advance research of twentieth and twenty-first century British art music at a national and international level.
