Palliative Care Evidence Review Service (PaCERS)
PaCERS supports health and social care professionals, policy makers, and service managers by providing timely access to the latest evidence.
The service conducts rapid evidence reviews in response to requests from decision-makers, focusing on topics that are most relevant to the delivery of palliative care.
We aim to deliver high-quality rapid reviews that address pressing research questions in palliative care within a short timeframe (typically 8–10 weeks). These reviews are carried out using adapted systematic review methods and are guided by clearly defined research questions.
We do not set our own review agenda but respond directly to external clinical or organisational requests for evidence. This ensures that our work is aligned with real-world needs.

PaCERS directly impacts palliative care clinicians and other decision-makers, while indirectly benefiting patients and carers receiving palliative care.
