Supporting you

We provide free advice and support to academics, clinicians and other health professionals. Our PaCERS rapid review service can answer your important research questions in palliative care.

PaCERS

We have introduced a Palliative Care Evidence Review Service (PaCERS), funded by Welsh Government as part of the Wales Cancer Research Centre. This service supports clinicians and other decision makers with the integration of research evidence into service development and practice. The service is unique in responding to external clinical or organisational calls for evidence rather than itself defining the review agenda.

We want to help you relate clinical practice more closely to evidence, and in doing so make a difference to patients.

Research methodology clinics

We have introduced research methodology clinics to provide free advice and support to academics, clinicians and other health professionals who want to develop a research study in palliative care.

Through this support system, inexperienced NHS and academic staff will be able to gain research experience and collaborate with established research groups. We are able to provide:

  • advice on how to develop a research idea
  • expert methodological advice
  • identification of funding routes and help with applications
  • direction on the right options for completing studies
  • access to a vital trials unit function for study conduct.
