Technology for Society is a social enterprise aiming to provide technology solutions that benefit people and communities. Their “How Are You Today?” service enables organisations to create meaningful social impact by delivering targeted health and well-being support. The company is interested in using AI to reach as many people as possible and provide personalised recommendations to users.
Experts at the Hartree Centre Cardiff Hub created a well-being conversational agent using retrieval augmented generation technologies. The conversational agent involved integrating the user’s responses to a questionnaire and external sources of support. This resulted in a chat-based system that the user could interact with and receive tailored advice based on the questionnaire, the current conversation and help available.
