Information on how to register for Graduation 2024 and book tickets.

Let us know if you are attending or not

You must confirm your attendance and provide further information about yourself and your requirements so that we can plan accordingly.

You will need to:

go to your SIMS Online account
enter your university username and password (if you cannot remember your password, click on the Forgotten your username or password? to reset)
click on My Ceremony at the top of the page
answer the questions.

You will receive an email to confirm that you have completed registration.

All graduates must confirm their attendance before Tuesday, 18 June 2024.

Please note that children over 2 years of age must have a ticket for ceremonies and school reception events, and pets are not permitted.

Book your tickets

Graduates and guests need a ticket to enter a School’s graduation ceremony at Utilita Arena and its reception event at Graduation Gardens, Main Building. The same ticket is used to enter both events.

You will need your student number to access the ticket system. The ticket system is provided by our partners Marston Events.

2 free guest tickets
3 additional guest tickets at a cost of £30 each.

If you require more than five guest tickets, you can request these at the time of your initial booking. These tickets cannot be guaranteed, but you will be notified by email, nearer to your Graduation date, if there is availability.

All bookings must be made by graduates before Tuesday, 18 June 2024.

Digital tickets

Tickets pre-booked will be emailed to graduates five working days prior to their ceremony.

All seating is allocated in advance and will be detailed on digital tickets. Due to the volume of visitors at Graduation seating cannot be altered and tickets should not be shared.

We recommend you download your tickets in advance to avoid any issues with wifi on the day.

When arriving at Utilita Arena, be aware that bag searches will be conducted. Pushchairs are not allowed in the arena, but a buggy park is available.

On the day ticket sales

We cannot guarantee that there will be tickets available on the day, but if there are these will be made available to purchase at £30 per ticket by card payment.

Tickets will be sold at Utilita Arena one hour before the start of the ceremony on a first-come, first-served basis. These seats will not be next to pre-booked guest seats.

Do not make expensive travel arrangements on the basis that you will get a ticket, as this cannot be guaranteed.

Live broadcasts

For anyone unable to attend Graduation ceremonies in person, they will be broadcast live online and at the Students' Union. YouTube and Weibo links to live broadcasts will be provided in our ceremonies schedule the week before Graduation.
