My main interest is in what makes for effective child and family social work. In particular I am interested in the relationship between good practice and outcomes, and in understanding the features of organisations that produce good practice. I also have a strong track record of evaluating social work services, having led more than 30 studies or practice development projects with a combined worth of over £7 million.
