As Dean of Clinical Innovation I am leading a team who are driving forward The Clinical Innovation Partnership.  This creative initiative is aimed at delivering better patient healthcare and wealth creation in Wales. The partnership between Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Cardiff University will help develop innovative ways of driving forward aspects of clinical care that benefit patients throughout Wales.

The Wound Healing team have obtained significant funding from Welsh Government to create the first Wound Healing Innovation Centre in the world and is moving forward to influence Welsh Government policy and service delivery in this area.

As Professor of Wound Healing I have a longstanding interest in wound healing. I have a distinguished track record of  research in wound healing.  My clinical practice is exclusively focused on treating patients with complex wound healing problems with a wide range of aetiologies.
