Overview

I am a Lecturer (T&R) and Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Psychology. I am part of the Cardiff Babylab.

Research

Broadly, my research interest lies in exploring visual attention and visual memory. By investigating eye movements, in my previous research I have explored the role of text in reading comic books and the influence of semantic associations on gaze following. My PhD focused on investigating how we use our eyes during the encoding and maintenance of verbal and spatial information. Currently, I am working on a project led by Dr Hana D'Souza which investigates the everyday visual experiences of children with motor difficulties.

Teaching

I deliver Year 2 Social practicals for the Social Psychology module (PS2027). I am a Personal Tutor and I also supervise final year student projects. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
