Promoting access to justice

Our staff and students work closely to support those who have restricted access to legal justice, through the Cardiff Law School's pro bono initiative.

This is a valuable model of the mutual benefits of University engagement activities. Increasingly, we are also taking a wider view of the notion of justice to incorporate notions of fairness and equality. 

This approach underpins our engagement within the Cardiff Capital Region. Our work to help transform our communities is based on the premise of helping to create the conditions where all are able to access the opportunities available to them, to help promote notions of economic, social and environmental justice.  We recognise that this is an area of debate and seek to provide the opportunities to facilitate discussions as to the objectives of developmental goals.
