We focus on the fusion of data science and artificial intelligence methods with interdisciplinary insights into cyber risk, threat intelligence, attack detection and situational awareness.
We are recognised by the UK National Cyber Security Centre in partnership with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research.
Our research seeks to understand, explain and model behaviours and interactions in cyber space, drawing on expertise from computer science, data sciences, criminology and international relations.
We provide a range of PhD opportunities as well as industry-focused undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in cyber security, artificial intelligence, data science and analytics.
Since 2012 we have received more than £7m in funding to support external cyber security research.
We bring together public, industry and research collaborators to tackle real cyber security challenges facing UK and international organisations.
