Myrtle Lloyd

Myrtle joined HM Revenue & Customs in February 2021 as Director General of Customer Services Group, with responsibility for helping individuals and businesses pay the right amount of tax and provide financial support to families.

In July 2025, she was appointed as HM Revenue & Customs first ever Chief Customer Officer with responsibility for transforming customer experience and driving forward the tax authority’s digital first ambitions. Prior to this Myrtle spent 5 years at the UK Home Office as Chief Operating Officer at His Majesty’s Passport Office and Registrar General for England and Wales.

Myrtle’s 25+ years’ career spans both the public and private sectors in Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe, and have included a variety of senior leadership roles in strategy, transformation, service delivery and IT.

Myrtle is passionate about delivering exceptional technology enabled, citizen centred services that changes customers’ lives and enhances colleagues’ work experiences.
