I stand for_equal opportunities

Ezgi Kaya

The pandemic showed us how we are interconnected. That we can deal with a common problem together.

But the COVID-19 crisis also exposed the cracks in society and the inequalities in access to opportunities, healthcare and education. It made us realise that we need to acknowledge and understand differences before we overcome these problems.

The solutions to the real-world problems that we work towards are often defined and arrived at with the community in question.

Businesses are an essential part of society and it’s vital that they contribute to providing access to opportunities, even when they’re not legally obliged to.

There is legislation that helps force businesses to provide equal opportunities, but it’s even more effective when they develop their own initiatives to create inclusive work environments.

Having equal access to opportunities creates a fairer world. It means people can make the most of their talents, bring out the best in themselves and have a chance to achieve their goals.
