Our courses are designed to be as flexible as possible. As you move through the course, you can choose to specialise in a particular area, and can even opt to transfer to one of the other degrees offered by the School, including our integrated master's degrees.
We offer five main entry degree subjects, as well as three additional 'exit' degrees in Anatomy, Genetics and Physiology.
Our Biochemistry degree offers extensive hands-on training and embraces contemporary research in important new areas such as genomics, synthetic biology and protein engineering.
The rich ecology of Wales provides the perfect environment to develop and hone your skills as a biologist. Combining scientific theory and practical lab and field work, this fascinating subject will give you a greater understanding of the world around you and how it works.

Choose your journey
Your final degree title will depend on the modules you select in years two and three. We provide full guidance throughout this process to help ensure you graduate with a degree that matches your interests and career aspirations.
All of our degrees are available with a Preliminary Year and/or Professional Training (or 'Sandwich') Year. We also offer a selection of four-year integrated master's degrees.
Depending on the modules you choose, you can also benefit from our range of field courses, which provide hands-on experience of modern biological techniques and practical in-field skills.
