MA – 1970 (1st class honour in Medieval History)
PhD – 1974 (thesis entitled ‘The Feudal Nobility of Cyprus, 1191-1400’)
1973-77 Research Lecturer, Christ Church Oxford
1977-present Member of staff in the Cardiff School of History and Archaeology (Lecturer 1977; Senior Lecturer 1991; Reader 1996; Personal Chair, 2000)
Together with my colleagues, Professor Denys Pringle and Dr Helen Nicholson, I have been running an MA course on the History of the Crusades. I also contribute to the MA in Medieval British Studies.
