The Academic Section of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) first began collecting basic information about schools of pharmacy in the early 1980s. This list now contains the postal address and other contact information of over 900 schools world-wide. The definition of a "school of pharmacy" is different in different parts of the world. I have used a fairly broad definition in deciding whether or not to include any particular school. In some cases the Institution may only offer post-graduate studies in pharmacy or related areas (usually indicated in the entry). There has been no attempt to classify or rank schools within a country and inclusion of a school in this list does not imply approval in any sense by the Editor. |

Entries updated since 1995 show the date of the most recent update immediately after the entry for that school. The origins of updates are usually given at top of each country page.
A few entries are now of doubtful validity, since the information was provided a number of years ago. The Editor ALWAYS welcomes update information from users. An e-mail hyperlink is provided at the bottom of each page.
Many schools now have their own home page on the Web. Hyperlinks are provided in that school's entry in the main list and a complete List of Pharmacy School URLs is available separately.
The World List of Pharmacy Schools (WLPS), is maintained and published as a public service by the editor Dr David Temple with the support of the Welsh School of Pharmacy at Cardiff University.
