The Welsh School of Pharmacy is one of the top UK schools of pharmacy and the only one in Wales. With  around 35 members of full-time staff, we were awarded an excellent for the quality of our teaching and learning.   Most of the staff are conducting research that is Internationally recognised. 

Programmes available:

Non-Medical Prescribing for Pharmacists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals

Non-Medical Prescribing for Pharmacists, Nurses and Allied Health Professions, in conjunction with the School of Nursing & Midwifery Studies.

Clinical Research (MSc/Diploma)

This is the leading course of its type and the first to be established in Europe. It was set up in 1987 by the Welsh School of Pharmacy.

Clinical Pharmacy (MSc/Diploma)

To develop the knowledge and skills  required by a pharmacist to provide the best input into patient care.

Community Pharmacy (MSc/Diploma/Certificate)

Through the Diploma/MSc in Community Pharmacy practising pharmacists will develop and enhance their professional skills and knowledge.

Pharmaceutical Medicine (Diploma)

This course was established in 1975 to provide a structured training programme in pharmaceutical medicine for doctors employed in the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organisations (CROs) and regulatory authorities.

MSc in International Pharmacoeconomics & Health Economics

The MSc in International Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics is delivered by international staff at the  Hochschule Fresenius (HSF), a state-approved University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and leads to the award of a Cardiff University MSc Degree.
