This module will enable students to develop their fundamental accounting and information management skills, and introduce you to the information system requirements for the financial accounting needs of an organisation. Students will use a computer accounting package to input transactions and to produce financial statements used in business organisations.
Who is this course for?
Fundamentals of Financial Reporting is a 10 credit module on the Pathway to Accounting or Accounting and Finance programmes.
Learning and Teaching
Tutor-led online and classroom sessions.
There will be one Saturday school for Study Skills.
Your learning and teaching for this module is underpinned by self-directed study.
Coursework and Assessment
To award credits we need to have evidence of the knowledge and skills you have gained or improved.
On the Pathway Programme you will have formal assessments. These will take the form of class tests, written assignments, a course journal or a portfolio. Your assessments are designed to prepare you for further study in a degree setting.
