Pathway to Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies
Would you like to study for a degree in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies?
Then the Our Media, Our World Pathway is for you.
The Our Media, Our World progression pathway is a flexible and affordable route onto degrees in Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. It is specifically designed to fit around the lives of busy adult learners and is made up of a range of stimulating courses taught in the evenings and at weekends.
This pathway is designed for those with life experience and we welcome applications from students who may have been away from formal education for several years.
The programme of courses is currently being developed but is likely to include ‘War and the Media‘, ‘Packaging the Past‘, ‘Reporting Sport‘, ‘Pop Music, Culture and Society‘, ‘Trends in Social Media‘, ‘British Comedy: Class, Nation and Identity‘, and ‘Inside the News‘.
You only need to sign up for one course at a time and there are fee waivers and bursaries available to help with the cost of study. Best of all, you don’t need any qualifications to enrol.
You can also contact Richard Marsden the Pathway coordinator on MarsdenR@cardifff.ac.uk or 029 2087 5610.
Our Media, Our World will start in September 2014 and more information will appear on this webpage in due course. If you are interested and would like to learn more, please sign up to our mailing list.
