With all our courses we endeavour to progressively develop all your skills (speaking, listening but also writing and reading) in the foreign language of your choice. Once you have reached a certain level, you have a chance to select courses on specific aspects of the countries where these languages are spoken. It could be literature, cinema, history… All those courses are taught by specialists, native speakers of the language they teach and gives you a further opportunity to practise your language skills.
Attending our courses means you will be meeting like-minded people and sharing your experience with them; this is an important component of language learning. Add to this the fact that our courses are taught in a friendly atmosphere… and you have the right recipe for a pleasurable experience through which both your skills and your confidence in the foreign language will get better.

Chinese courses
This Day School introduces you to the major festivals and customs observed in China as well as the Chinese family culture, including gender role, marriage and the Birth Control Policy. You will have chances to explore and to evaluate the popular traditional concepts in Chinese folk culture.

This course is the first of to designed primarily for students who require an intensive, highly practical run-up to the examinations set by the Chartered Institute of Linguists (loL) for the Diploma in Translation (DipTrans). The second course runs form september to January. The objective is to develop your skill and speed in applying specific translation techniques and to provide regular practice on representative source texts, so that you are trained to translate to a professional standard under examination conditions.

The aim of this course is to improve your fluency and your comprehension of spoken French. You will work in small groups and discuss different topics, as well as listen to audio recordings. This course was suggested by students who often feel they need to get more practice of their oral and listening skills. This course is for students who have completed Stage B or Stage C (DELF A2).

Public Service Interpreting courses
This course is designed to help students of Public Service Interpreting courses to reach the level of English required for the DPSI examination. It will cover comprehension of PSI texts and dialogue as well as appropriate and correct use of English in translations from other languages.
