This year the Wincott Foundation will again offer a full fee scholarship for a postgraduate student intending to pursue a career in business, economic or financial journalism at Cardiff.
In addition to the MA in Journalism’s core modules such as Law for Journalists and Online Journalism the recipient will attend finance based modules and will also have a specialist subject tutor.
The successful candidate will specialise in economics and business journalism during the year and choose a business and economics theme for their end of year MA project.
Director of the Centre for Journalism Professor Richard Sambrook said “The scholarship is open to any student with a degree in economics, business or economics related subjects such as politics or economic history.
“It’s an outstanding opportunity for any aspiring business or economics journalist to gain an accredited qualification at Cardiff’s respected Centre for Journalism.”
In order to apply for this scholarship, applicants should submit a brief statement of no more than 500 words stating why they believe they should be considered for the scholarship. Potential candidates will then be interviewed by the School and the Wincott Foundation.
