Glyn teaches news writing and sub editing on the Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism. He also teaches Writing for Newspapers, a third year undergraduate module.

Research Interests

Glyn’s research interests include e-learning, web research techniques, news writing and newspaper layout and design.

Biography

A former newspaper reporter and sub editor, Glyn has worked on a range of regional newspapers covering beats including crime, health and local government. He moved into feature writing before moving over to the subs’ desk to work as splash and then production sub in both news and magazines/supplements.

He has been training journalists in news writing, sub-editing and design since 2002 at pre-entry, junior and senior journalist level.
