Naomi teaches Digital Communications Management on the MA International Public Relations and Global Communications Management. She also teaches design on the Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism and online for Newspaper students on the MA International Journalism.
At undergraduate level, Naomi teaches the optional 2nd Year Module: Social Media Trends.
Lecturer and freelance designer Naomi joined the school in 2001 with over 15 years experience; magazine designer for Regional Magazines, managing the first journals online for Elsevier Science and leading a web team for Reuters international clients.
Reuters: leading the team responsible for the design, development and launch of one of Reuters first premium web based products. Reaching a global audience, this offered Reuters S3000 clients unique access to online reports – one of the first of its kind at the time.
Elsevier: Overseeing the launch of the first science based journals online. The team management and implementation of innovative production techniques (SGML) at the launch of the web as we know it.
Naomi also has a wealth of experience as a designer: within magazine, publications, packaging, promotion, branding and web design. She was fortunate to have trained with Letraset Computer Graphics, the first digital design agency of its kind in the UK.
Naomi also has an MA in Professional Development, specialising in business and online, is a Prince2 practitioner (project management) and HEA Fellow. She regularly provides consultancy, design and training for print and online.
