Anca Anton is a Visiting Doctoral Student at Cardiff University School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. Anca is visiting from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies.
The focus of her research is Romanian popular culture, its products, traits, trends and how they can be studied. Her research paper aims at providing a theoretical frame for the study of popular culture in Romania. The field of popular culture is at its beginnings and there is only a handful of applied studies exploring the Romanian space; the theoretical papers are even scarcer.
