Introduction
This is the final report of the research study for the Regeneration Skills Collective Wales (RSCW) entitled Delivering the MDGs in Sub-Saharan Africa, funded under the Welsh Assembly Government’s Walesfor Africa Grant Scheme.
The RSCW is a collective of six Welsh institutes/institutions: the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru; the Institute of Civil Engineers Wales; Landscape Institute Wales; the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Wales: the Royal Town Planning Institute Cymru; and the Royal Society of Architects in Wales.
The research explored the interest and expertise of the RSCW membership in contributing to the Wales Assembly Government’s Wales for Africa programme and the realisation of the Millennium Development Goals. The study was based on extensive consultation, and e-survey of the 10,000+ members of the RSCW institutes/institutions, and recommends a two-year strategy and action plan.
