Researching Rural Wales: Social, Economic and Environmental Perspectives
10:30 am-5:30pm: During this part of the day, delegates will learn about a broad range of recent research on rural Wales, including environmental sustainability, farming and agri-food and the influence of migration from England on community life. A Plenary Panel, with Welsh Government officials and leading academics in the field, will also dicuss future research and policy agendas for rural Wales. In addition, there will be opportunities for debate and networking.
Book Launch: Rural Wales in the Twenty-first Century: Society, Economy and Environment, University of Wales Press, edited by Paul Milbourne
5:30pm-7:30pm: Celebrate the launch of a new book examining the issues facing rural Wales in the twenty-first century, with the opportunity to talk to many of the authors involved.
