The Glamorgan Building

Cardiff University is located in and around the Portland-stone buildings, parks and tree lined avenues that form the city's magnificent civic centre. The Glamorgan Building was acquired by the University in 1997 and is a major new addition to the university's estate.
The University is a major civic university of high standing in its teaching and research. It is, by invitation, a recent member of the Russell Group of Britain's leading research universities. Within Cardiff University, City and Regional Planning is currently the only school with a top rating for the quality of both its teaching and research. The School's unrivalled reputation for research and innovative research-led teaching both within Cardiff University and as the leader of the 25 UK planning schools is now significantly enhanced by its home here in the Glamorgan Building.
The strategic vision of the School of City and Regional Planning is to develop the Glamorgan Building as a global location for planning and policy-based research, teaching and practice.
