Open Days

Our autumn postgraduate open day will take place at our brand new Centre for Student Life at the Cathays Park campus on Wednesday 17 November 2021 (10:00 to 14:00).

The open day provides a great opportunity for you to explore our campus, the city and find out everything you need to know about postgraduate study at Cardiff University.

Before booking to attend the event please read through the COVID-19 safety measures information so you know what to expect on the day.

Here’s an overview of what’s taking place at the open day:

General talks (10:15, 11:15 and 12:15)

  • Master’s funding for UK students

Information fair (10:00 to 14:00)

  • Ask staff all of your questions about accommodation, careers support, funding, how to apply, Languages for all programme, student support, Cardiff University Students' Union and more.

Meet our academics (10:00 to 14:00)

  • Representatives from our academic schools will be available for you to talk to on the day.
  • The following academic schools will be taking part in a subject fair based in the Centre for Student Life:

  • For those academic schools which aren’t represented at the subject fair, you will have the opportunity to meet staff within the relevant academic school building. Our student ambassadors will walk you to your school building from the meeting point in the subject fair at an allocated time. You will be able to select this time when booking to attend the event:

Campus tours (10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30)

  • Join us on a tour of our Cathays Park campus, so you can see for yourself why Cardiff was voted one of the top ten most beautiful universities in the UK (The Times Higher Education, 2018).

Postgraduate Research information lounge (10:00 to 14:00)

  • Ask us all of your questions about postgraduate research study throughout the day. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to staff from the Doctoral Academy, current research students and Deans of research representing our academic schools.
