Undergraduate campus tours
Take a tour of our Cathays Park Campus with a student ambassador.
While we do not have any guided campus tours scheduled at the moment, we offer tours periodically throughout the year. More details will be published here closer to the next event.
Campus tours focus on the outdoor campus experience. While they don't include subject-specific details or indoor school visits, they are a great way to get to know our beautiful surroundings.
The student-led campus tour sessions include:
- a presentation on life at Cardiff University
- a Q&A session with current students
- a 45-minute walking tour around Cathays Park Campus with a student guide
Find all the details for your trip to Cardiff in our visitor information.
Who should join a tour?
Whilst we welcome everyone, the tours are aimed at those who haven’t yet applied to study with us yet. If you have already received an offer to study at Cardiff, your academic school will be in touch to invite you to a separate offer-holder event, where you can experience your academic school first-hand.
Unfortunately, we are unable to explore our Heath Park Campus, where the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine and Healthcare Sciences are based. However, students studying Dentistry (BDS), Medicine and Medical Pharmacology all spend some time on our Cathays Park Campus in their first year.
A maximum of two guests per booking will be able join the tour.
Additional academic schools
The Schools of Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Optometry and Vision Sciences and the School of Journalism, Media and Culture are not included in the campus tour.
If you would like to arrange an add-on tour to one of these schools (up to one hour extra), please email us at openday@cardiff.ac.uk once you have booked your campus tour session, so we can make suitable arrangements.
