Reducing the Impact of Diabetic Foot Ulcers (REDUCE)

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a serious and costly complication of diabetes, affecting thousands of lives across the UK. We aim to improve patient outcomes and reduce impact on the NHS.

Our research explores whether targeting the psychological and behavioural factors behind ulcer recurrence can reduce this recurrence, improve healing, reduce NHS costs, and most importantly, help people with diabetes live healthier, ulcer-free lives.
