Equality and diversity
We are committed to promoting equality and diversity in all of our practices and activities.
Our aim is to establish an inclusive and welcoming culture which ensures equal opportunities for staff and students of all ages, ethnicities, disabilities, family structures, genders, nationalities, sexual orientations, races, religious or other beliefs, and socio-economic backgrounds.
The Athena Swan Charter is a framework which is used across the globe to support and transform gender equality within higher education (HE) and research. We were awarded the Athena SWAN Silver Award from 2016 to 2022 and the Bronze Award from 2013 to 2016.
