BCOVS Conference 2026
The British Congress of Optometry and Vision Science (BCOVS) conference will be held at Cardiff University on 14 and 15 September 2026.
We welcome all eye and vision researchers to join us at Cardiff University for the British Congress of Optometry and Vision Science (BCOVS) in 2026.
BCOVS is a friendly, annual conference for sharing optometry and vision science research, encompassing a wide range of interests and specialisms in fields related to optometry, ophthalmology, vision science, and eye care/clinical research.

Format: In-person/hybrid conference
All conference presentations will be delivered in person, and some sessions will be hybrid, available for online attendees.
CPD points are available for sessions where possible.
Attendance fees
The two-day attendance fee includes attendance, refreshments, and lunch on both days. You can earn CPD points for attending.

Social event fees
There is an optional social event including dinner on the evening of 14 September.
Tickets for this will be sold separately, and these will cover:
- transport to the venue (De Courcey's Manor)
- drinks reception
- a three-course meal
- evening entertainment
Tickets for this evening event will be available to purchase at a cost of £46 per person.
The deadline for the purchase of evening events tickets is 17 August 2026. Please bear this in mind when booking to ensure you can reserve your spaces in time.
Delegates are very welcome to purchase additional tickets in order to bring plus one(s) to this event.
The venue also has some accommodation available on site, should anyone wish to take advantage of this opportunity. See the 'Travel and Accommodation' section below for more information.
