RedKnight joins sbarc|spark

Grants and funding specialists RedKnight have joined Cardiff University’s sbarc|spark family.

RedKnight provides expert support to organisations applying for innovation grants and funding, aiming to make the complex process as simple as possible.

The company joins Bipsync, Nesta and IWA as the first external partners to take residency in the newly-opened building.

RedKnight sits within Cardiff Innovations@sbarc – the University’s centre for innovative partnerships.

Since 2015, RedKnight has secured over £10 million of grant funding for our clients to develop their innovative products, processes, and services.

Dayne Hodgson, co-founder and director, RedKnight, said: “We are really excited to be relocating into this new state-of-the-art facility on Cardiff Innovation Campus. The move will position RedKnight at the heart of the local innovation ecosystem and provide excellent opportunities to meet and collaborate with innovative start-ups, SMEs and academic spinouts.

“We are grateful to the spark board for accepting our application to be a part of their vision and look forward to working alongside like-minded individuals over the coming years.”

Comprising 17,500 sq.ft of dedicated space, Cardiff Innovations@sbarc is equipped with lettable office space from 226sq.ft to 1163 sq.ft, formal and informal meeting areas, high-end conference facilities, wet lab space and joint exhibition/presentation areas.

Rhys Pearce-Palmer, Innovation Operations Manager for Cardiff Innovations@sbarc, welcomed RedKnight to the centre.

sbarc|spark is centred around creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation. It is home to more than 400 social science researchers from 12 expert groups who collectively make up SPARK – the Social Science Research Park.

Designed by leading architects Hawkins\Brown, sbarc|spark is where talented researchers and professional staff will work with business and society to create, test and incubate new initiatives. Globally connected, the vibrant hub will nurture partnerships between entrepreneurs, business leaders, professional advisers, academics and students.
