The mentoring process can be extremely rewarding, particularly if you are able to help others reach their potential.  Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) are providing a Coaching and Mentoring course which starts in January to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a mentor.

We welcome Natalie Hughes to teach this part-time course.  Natalie has a wealth of experience in this field as well as an interest in widening participation. In this course she will help you develop your ability to establish rapport, improve your listening skills and your proficiency to pick up and respond to issues raised by your mentee.  Although highly practical, the course includes theory to support reflection and evaluation of the mentoring practice.

Natalie commented:

“I am really looking forward to teaching this course in January. I have over 20 years of experience of working in adult education and have developed many other courses over the years.  I am passionate about coaching and mentoring and am enthusiastic to pass on these skills to others and would encourage more people to mentor each other.”
