Judy was working as an Orthopaedic Surgeon but had held a lifelong passion for languages and translation.  She returned to study an undergraduate degree in Translation with German and Spanish to fulfil this interest after completing a Pathway.  Studying a Pathway with Continuing and Professional Education provided Judy with a clear route to undergraduate studies at the School of Modern Languages at Cardiff University and she is passionate about promoting this opportunity to other adult learners.

“The Pathway to Modern Languages and Translation offered me flexibility, I was able to continue working part-time whilst studying and the tutors were very friendly and helpful.  I have developed my translation skills and improved my German and Spanish fluency.  I also took part in many events and enjoyed being able to support and encourage other students. The Pathway to a degree opens a lot of doors and interests.  I would thoroughly recommend it!”

Judy is now studying a part-time MA in Translation at Cardiff University and volunteering as a translator.  We wish her continued success and thanks for sharing her story with us.
