JAMMIND

JAMMIND aims to bring together video game developers, mental health researchers and clinicians, and mental health campaigners to create a variety of games aimed at accurate and positive portrayals of mental health.

Attendees will be placed into multidisciplinary teams of up to five people and will have two days to develop their ideas and create a new game addressing the theme of mental health. There will be specific elements to include in each game, which will be shared on the first day of the jam.

There will also be an opportunity to hear talks from psychiatrists, researchers and developers with experience in developing games including characters with mental health problems.

Programme

Thanks to the support of the Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF), the jam will take place between Friday 28 September and Sunday 30 September.
