Journalism and media accreditations

We’re extremely proud of our offering at Cardiff, which includes industry recognition for a range of our postgraduate programmes.

These accreditations continue to strengthen our well-established relationships with professional bodies and industries and allow our graduates to evidence the quality of their education.

The Broadcast Journalism Training Council

Accredited programme: Broadcast Journalism (MA)

The Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) accreditation ensures our training reflects current industry practice. You will gain practical skills that reflect the needs of major broadcasters, including:

These experiences give our students the confidence to enter the broadcasting industry immediately upon graduation.

The BJTC is one of the largest independent journalism accreditation bodies in the UK. Industry partners include the BBC, Sky News, ITN, ITV, Channel 4 News, The Associated Press, Reuters, Global, and the National Union of Journalists.
