Traethawd ymchwil

Combat, Crusade and Conversion: Prose Romance and the English Printing Press, 1473-1534

An examination of the prose romances printed during the working lifespans in England of the first two generations of English print: William Caxton and Wynkyn de Worde. My focus is the crusading desires both within the texts and in their publishing, as an expression of Early Tudor concerns over English chivalry in the face of an Eastern, encroaching 'other'.
